Differential Event Rates and Independent Predictors of Long-Term Major Cardiovascular Events and Death in 5795 Patients With Unprotected Left Main Coronary Artery Disease Treated With Stents, Bypass Surgery, or Medication: Insights From a Large International Multicenter Registry Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— Among patients with unprotected left main coronary artery disease, the key clinical predictors for MACCE and death were generally similar regardless of index treatment. This study provides effect estimates for clinically relevant predictors of long-term clinical outcomes in real-world left main coronary artery patients, providing possible guidance for tailored preventive strategies. Glycemic Control Status After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Long-Term Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— HbA1c<7.0 measured 2 years after percutaneous coronary intervention was associated with a reduced rate of MACCE. Our data suggest that high HbA1c levels 2 years after percutaneous coronary intervention may identify a population at increased risk of adverse events, especially repeat revascularization.

Association Between Duration of Dual Antiplatelet Therapy and Angiographic Multivessel Disease on Outcomes in Patients Treated With Newer-Generation Drug-Eluting Stents Pharmacology
Conclusions— In patients treated with newer-generation drug-eluting stents, a significant interaction between DAPT strategy and multivessel disease was found regarding the occurrence of NACE at 1 year. Among adverse events, myocardial infarction was more frequent in 6-month DAPT than in 12-month DAPT in patients with multivessel disease.

Conclusions— Using a national PCI database for the first time, the incidence, predictors, and outcomes of CP were defined. Although CP as a complication of PCI occurred rarely, it was strongly associated with poor outcomes.

Everolimus Eluting Stents Versus Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery for Patients With Diabetes Mellitus and Multivessel Disease Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— In patients with diabetes mellitus and multivessel disease, EES was associated with lower upfront risk of death and stroke when compared with coronary artery bypass graft surgery. However, at long-term, EES was associated with similar risk of death, a higher risk of MI (in those with incomplete revascularization), and repeat revascularization but a lower risk of stroke.

High Event Rate After a First Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients With Diabetes Mellitus: Results From the Swedish Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Registry Coronary Interventions
Conclusions— The prognosis after a first percutaneous coronary intervention is more severe in patients with diabetes mellitus, in particular, in patients treated with insulin, with higher rates of mortality, cardiovascular events, and stent thrombosis over the following 5 years.

Cerebrovascular Events After a Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Strategy for Acute ST-Segment- Elevation Myocardial Infarction: Analysis From the HORIZONS-AMI Trial Coronary Interventions
Conclusions— In HORIZONS-AMI, cerebrovascular events within 3 years after ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction in patients undergoing a primary percutaneous coronary intervention management strategy occurred in 2.0% of patients and were most frequent after coronary artery bypass grafting. Cerebrovascular events were often disabling and were strongly associated with high rates of death, reinfarction, recurrent ischemia, and major bleeding. Outcomes With Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery Versus Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Patients With Diabetes Mellitus: Can Newer Generation Drug-Eluting Stents Bridge the Gap? Coronary Interventions
Conclusions— In patients with diabetes mellitus, evidence from indirect comparison shows similar mortality between CABG and PCI using cobalt–chromium everolimus-eluting stent. CABG was associated with numerically excess stroke and PCI with cobalt–chromium everolimus-eluting stent with numerically increased repeat revascularization. This hypothesis needs to be tested in future trials.

Relationship Between ST-Segment Recovery and Clinical Outcomes After Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: The HORIZONS-AMI ECG Substudy Report Myocardial Infarction
Conclusions— In this large international study, absent STR 60 minutes after primary PCI was present in 1 in 5 patients with ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction and was a significant independent predictor of major adverse cardiovascular events and target vessel revascularization at 3 years.
