Branch-first continuous perfusion aortic arch replacement. Insight into our results
CONCLUSIONS: BF-CPAR is safe and adds to the armamentarium of Aortic Arch Repair. In elective and uncomplicated acute-dissection cases, it has no mortality and low stroke (1.9%), and vital organ dysfunction risk. Its results which are comparable to many of the best currently reported series, is driven by avoidance of cerebral circulatory arrest and reduction of cardiac and visceral ischemic time.PMID:35238522 | DOI:10.23736/S0021-9509.22.12272-X

Transapical aortic valve replacement in extreme-risk patients: outcome, risk factors and mid-term results ADULT CARDIAC
CONCLUSIONS TA-TAVR in extreme-risk patients carries a moderate risk of hospital mortality. Severe comorbidities and presence of residual paravalvular leakages affect the mid-term survival, whereas surviving patients have an acceptable quality of life without rehospitalizations for cardiac decompensation.

Demographic profile, clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting—retrospective analysis of 4,024 patients
Conclusion Compared to Western population, this cohort of patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting had higher incidence of diabetes mellitus and ischemic cardiomyopathy and low incidence of significant left main disease. Post-operative stroke rate was significantly lower compared to 1–2 % stroke rate reported in western population.

Does Surgical Ablation Energy Source Affect Long-Term Success of the Concomitant Cox Maze Procedure?
CONCLUSIONS: Concomitant CM procedures performed with cryothermal energy alone or combined with bipolar radiofrequency ablation are safe and exceedingly effective. Use of EuroSCORE as a predictor of morbidity after cardiac surgery

Moderate Versus Deep Hypothermia With Unilateral Selective Antegrade Cerebral Perfusion for Acute Type A Dissection.
CONCLUSIONS: Moderate HCA with uSACP is an effective circulation management strategy that provides excellent cerebral and visceral protection during emergent ATAAD repair. Conclusions This population-based contemporary assessment suggests moderate-risk patients undergoing AVR experience favorable outcomes. Although increasing PROM is important in preoperative evaluation of risk, preexisting pulmonary hypertension and indication for operation are among other factors that should be considered as TAVR expands into this group of patients.
