The Role of Blood Transfusion in the Development of Atrial Fibrillation after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting.
Conclusion Intraoperative and postoperative blood products transfusion in patients operated for CABG is not associated with increased risk of developing postoperative AF. PMID: 27575274 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ICU Readmission after Cardiac Surgery-Still a Matter of Concern?
CONCLUSIONS:  In conclusion, readmission to the ICU after cardiac surgery is a rare complication that is still associated with excessive mortality. Establishment of an intermediate care unit proved to be an excellent means to reduce ICU stay without endangering post-surgery patients and significantly reduced the ICU readmission rate. Early-Term Results of Rapid-Deployment Aortic Valve Replacement versus Standard Bioprosthesis Implantation Combined with Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
CONCLUSION: RDAVR combined with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) can be performed extremely safely. Cross-clamp and cardiopulmonary bypass times can be significantly reduced with rapid deployment aortic valve system in the scenario of combined CABG. RDAVR resulted in lower gradients than CSAVR in patients implanted with prostheses of the same size.PMID:35151232 | DOI:10.1055/s-0042-1742686
