Clinical Repurposing of Medicines is Intrinsic to Homeopathy: Research Initiatives on COVID-19 in India
This article reflects research initiatives on COVID-19 in India and identifies studies listed in the Clinical Trial Registry-India database. We identified 29 studies being undertaken in different settings, including those in conventional medicine: 20 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and 9 observational studies. Fifteen studies are aimed at prophylaxis and 14 are aimed at treatment. Amongst the treatment studies, 11 are focused on efficacy or comparative effectiveness. Preparation and Standardization of Escherichia coli Nosodes Sourced from Select E. coli Strains.
CONCLUSION:  Different variants of E. coli nosodes were systematically and scientifically prepared and standardized using the cultures. Homeopathic pathogenetic trials, in-vitro efficacy studies, and clinical evaluation of E. coli nosodes (single, trivalent, or polyvalent nosodes) will be required in future. Current Status of Expiry of Homeopathic Medicines in Brazil, Germany, India and the United States: A Critical Review.
This study compares the regulatory framework for the expiry of homeopathic medicines in four countries: Brazil, Germany, India and the United States. FINDINGS:  Different or no expiry periods are variously followed. Whereas Germany, with some exceptions, employs a maximum expiry of 5 years for both potencies and finished products, Brazil adopts a 5-year expiry for finished products only, potencies used in manufacture being exempted from an assigned expiry date. Clinical Characteristics and Remedy Profiles of Patients with COVID-19: A Retrospective Cohort Study.
CONCLUSION:  Data from the current study reveal that Arsenicum album, Bryonia alba, Pulsatilla nigricans, Nux vomica, Rhus toxicodendron and Gelsemium sempervirens are the most frequently indicated homeopathic medicines. Evolution of homeopathy: A scientometric analysis of global homeopathy literature between 1975 and 2017.
CONCLUSIONS: We detected that developed countries dominated homeopathy literature and we suggest that physicians from least-developed and developing countries should be funded and encouraged to carry out homeopathy studies. PMID: 30712722 [PubMed - in process]
