TOXMAP now includes TRI 2016 data
TOXMAP now includes the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) 2016 complete dataset. TOXMAP maps the TRI chemicals reported to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as required by the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA). TOXMAP now includes updated coal plant data, congressional districts
The TOXMAP beta now includes 2016 coal emissions data published by the US EPA's Clean Air Markets program. Data was obtained from the Air Markets Program Data (AMPD) tool, a publicly-available data system for searching and downloading data collected as part of EPA's emissions trading programs. Political boundaries for the U.S. 115th congressional districts reflect the official membership as of January 3, 2017. This map layer can be toggled on and off via the Map Contents side panel. TOXMAP Now Includes Final Superfund/CERCLIS data
TOXMAP now includes the final version of the EPA's CERCLIS dataset, which contains information on hazardous waste sites, potentially hazardous waste sites, and associated remedial activities across the nation. The EPA Superfund program retired CERCLIS in November 2012 and has been transitioning to SEMS, which contains the same content as CERCLIS. (Source: TOXMAP News)

Tox-App: a TOXMAP-like app for iOS
Tox-App lets iOS users search for industrial facilities that reported releasing certain chemicals into the environment to the US EPA TRI program. Tox-App includes a subset of about 100 TRI chemicals for the most current TRI year. Tox-App was developed by NLM interns and is based on the web-based version of TOXMAP. Tox-App provides some of the basic TOXMAP functions, including the ability to search for reporting facilities, or browse for these facilities by chemical, state, or county. TOXMAP now includes updated health data, congressional districts
TOXMAP's health data has been updated to cover the years (2009-2013). National county-level cancer and disease mortality data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) can be displayed as layers on the map. For more information on displaying these layers, refer to TOXMAP Help: US Census & Health Data. Political boundaries for the U.S. 114th congressional districts reflect the official membership as of January 5, 2016. This map layer can be toggled on and off via the Map Contents side panel. TOXMAP adds Native Lands layer, classroom exercises
The TOXMAP beta now includes a Native Lands map layer that shows geographic areas of certain native populations, including American Indian Reservations and Off-Reservation Trust Lands, Alaska Native Village Statistical Areas, and Hawaiian Home Lands, as defined by the US Census. This layer can be toggled on and off via the Map Contents side panel (see the TOXMAP and Native American Populations page). Environment Canada publishes data from the NPRI, Canada's legislated, publicly accessible annual inventory of pollutant releases (to air, water and land), disposals and transfers for recycling.
