Scottish dispensing practices get £2,000 to be FMD compliant
The Scottish government is giving dispensing practices£2,000 each to prepare for the upcoming Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD).  The money will allow practices to buy the equipment they need to meet the FMD terms, according to a Scottish Government spokesperson.  The Government said that dispensing practices will receive the money– which comes from a£500,000 improvement package to help them implement the directive– by the end of this financial year. Hide related content:  Show related contentread more (Source: Management in Practice)

GP contract: general practice reacts
Details of the new five-year GP contract were shared by NHS England yesterday.  Among other aspects, the contract comprises a£1bn investment across general practice over the next five years, including 22,000 new staff in exchange for practices working in networks; and funding to make 25% of GP appointments bookable online. Practices will be funded to provide direct appointment bookings through NHS 111

GP contract: guaranteed increase to global sum next year, BMA says

GP contract: practices get access to DPOs through CCGs

GPs on more than £150k a year to be named

Billions to be invested in practice funding through five-year GP contract

Practices given £2 per patient to join networks under new DES
