HRSA Launches Survey on Adult and Adolescent ARV Guidelines
The Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) is committed to improving the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Guidelines for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV-1-Infected Adults and Adolescents. FDA Updates Atazanavir Oral Powder Label
"On September 24, 2015, FDA approved revisions to the Reyataz (atazanavir) oral powder label to include dosing recommendations for patients three months and older weighing at least 5 kg. This represents the addition of a new pediatric weight band. On September 27, join AIDSinfo in observing National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.   No group in the United States is more affected by HIV than gay and bisexual men. NLM Releases Redesigned, Mobile-Optimized HIV/AIDS Information Website, Now Called AIDSource
The National Library of Medicine’s web portal for HIV/AIDS information has been redesigned and given a new name. Availability of Pyrimethamine: Statement from Adult & Adolescent OI Guideline Panel
Pyrimethamine is recommended for treatment and/or prophylaxis of Toxoplasma encephalitis, Pneumocystis pneumonia, and Isospora infection. As of June 2015, pyrimethamine is no longer available in retail pharmacies in the United States.
