Efficacy of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of symptomatic oral lichen planus: A systematic review
ConclusionsThe limited available evidence suggests that PDT is an effective treatment option for the management of OLP. However, due to the limited number of studies included in this review and heterogeneity among these studies, more well‐designed clinical trials with adequate sample sizes are highly warranted. Uncovering the potential of CD44v/SYNE1/miR34a axis in salivary fluids of oral cancer patients
ConclusionCollectively, these findings suggested a plausible role of CD44v/SYNE1/miR34a axis as non‐invasive salivary biomarkers to diagnose this disease at an early stage and predict the early onset of metastasis. (Source: Journal of Oral Pathology and Medicine)

Transcriptome changes induced in vitro by alcohol ‐containing mouthwashes in normal and dysplastic oral keratinocytes
ConclusionsAlcohol‐containing mouthwashes are genotoxic in vitro to normal and dysplastic oral keratinocytes and induce widespread changes in gene expression. Dysplastic cells are more susceptible to the transcriptomic effects of mouthwash. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. (Source: Journal of Oral Pathology and Medicine)
