Surgical treatment of cementoblastoma: case report
ABSTRACT Cementoblastoma is a benign, slow-growing, and unlimited mesenchymal dental tumor. Due to its rarity, we aimed to report the case of a 24-year-old female patient who presented pain complaints and increased volume in the left mandibular region. Imaging tests showed a hyperdense lesion with hypodense halo, associated with the roots of elements 35, 36, and 37. Histopathology revealed diagnosis of cementoblastoma. Basal cell carcinoma of the areola: a rare case report
ABSTRACT Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common malignant cutaneous neoplasm. It is preferentially located in areas exposed to solar radiation, since the cumulative effect of ultraviolet radiation on susceptible individuals seems to be the major triggering factor. Celiac disease as differential diagnosis of normocalcemic hyperparathyroidism
ABSTRACT There is no recommendation to investigate celiac disease (CD) in patients with elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) and normal blood calcium if they are asymptomatic, especially if they do not have hypovitaminosis D. CD was diagnosed in a 30-year-old asymptomatic man without vitamin D deficiency, who had total calcium 9.2 mg/dl, 25-hydroxyvitamin D 36 ng/dl, PTH 112 pg/ml, total IgA 42 mg/dl, anti-tissue transglutaminase (tTG) IgA 22 U/ml. Evaluation of quality indicators of cervical cytopathology tests carried out in a municipality of Paraná, Brazil
Conclusion: In 2012 and 2013, the high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion/s atisfactory and the positivity index indicators were below the recommended parameters, and in the remaining years, these indicators were within the parameters recommended.
