Error in the Introduction
In the Surgical Pearls article titled “Suspension Technique for Unstable Nasal Bones” published online on August 1, 2019, in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, the first sentence of the third paragraph should read as follows: “If the nasal bones have multiple comminutions after trauma or if osteotomies lead to a fully mobile nasal bone, the suspension technique is required to reliably reposition the nose and achieve adequate nasal projection.” (Source: JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery)

Confounding Factors on Postoperative Use Following Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
To the Editor I read with great interest the article by Olds et al in the July issue of JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery. Confounding Factors on Postoperative Use Following Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery —Reply
In Reply Thank you, Dr Pisano, for your insightful comments regarding our recent article. It is true that large analyses such as this should be examined critically and with an understanding of the limitations of large data sets. Regarding surgery duration, we did not adjust the analysis by surgery duration or use of regional blocks. While these could potentially be confounding factors related to pain in the immediate postoperative period and use of opioids, they would be unlikely to contribute to prolonged opioid use, which was the primary outcome analyzed in this study. Additionally, this level of detail for each procedur...
