Is an accessory nipple associated with an intrapancreatic accessory spleen?
We described a rare case of a male patient with a unilateral accessory nipple and a solitary hypervascular lesion in the pancreas. The patient underwent a distal pancreaticosplenectomy, and IPAS was finally diagnosed. An accessory nipple has limited clinical value. Nevertheless, it may suggest a congenital anomaly in the body and may be associated with other inherited diseases. The case indicates that IPAS should be considered in an individual with accessory organs if he or she is diagnosed with a solitary hypervascular lesion in the pancreas. Clinical value of circular RNAs and autophagy-related miRNAs in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer
CONCLUSIONScircRNAs act as the miRNA sponges and there is an association between miRNAs and autophagy, which provides a new concept to broaden the knowledge about the mechanisms underlying the development, progression and metastasis of pancreatic cancer. Additionally, clinical value of circRNAs and autophagy-related miRNAs in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer would be further verified with in-depth researches. PD-1 inhibitors monotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma: meta-analysis and systematic review
ConclusionsPembrolizumab and nivolumab are the only checkpoint inhibitors with data in HCC. Meta-analysis of their effectiveness discloses rates not dissimilar to other systemic therapies available for this disease. Secondary non-resectable liver tumors: A single-center living-donor and deceased-donor liver transplantation case series
ConclusionsThe more recent LDLT series compared favorably to our DDLT series in the treatment of secondary liver malignancies. The absence of portal hypertension and the use of smaller left grafts make recipient and donor surgeries safe. The safety of the procedures and lack of interference with the scarce allograft pool are expected to lead to a more frequent use of LDLT in the field of transplant oncology.
