Natural progression of radiographic indices in juvenile hallux valgus deformity
Juvenile hallux valgus (JHV) deformity is described as varus deviation of the first metatarsal and valgus deviation of the first proximal phalanx in a child who is skeletally immature [1]. Compared with the adult deformity, JHV deformity shows less valgus deformity at the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint, a smaller medial eminence, less bursal thickening, and typically no joint degeneration at the first MTP joint [1]. The geometrical axis of the talocrural joint —Suggestions for a new measurement of the talocrural joint axis
A thorough knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics of joints is crucial for implant design and positioning. Mal-positioning has been shown to be one cause for implant failure [1]. Further on, the correct placement of the implant may improve function and reduce pain after joint replacement in patients. (Source: Foot and Ankle Surgery)

Comparison of the Manchester –Oxford Foot Questionnaire (MOXFQ) and the Self-Reported Foot and Ankle Outcome Score (SEFAS) in patients with foot or ankle surgery
Patient reported outcome measurements (PROMS) can provide reliable and valid measures of patient ’s degree of pain, impairment, disability, and quality of life. They are a critical tool in evaluating the efficacy of orthopedic procedures and are increasingly used in clinical trials to assess outcomes of health care [1]. The Manchester–Oxford Foot Questionnaire (MOXFQ) is a PROM for surgery of the foot and ankle, initially assessed in patients undergoing hallux valgus surgery [2,3]. Further evaluation provided evidence in support of the reliability and validity using data from a large sample of patients undergoing surge...

Comparison of different locking plate fixation methods in lateral malleolus fractures
Ankle fractures are among the most common injuries while distal fibular fractures comprise the most common type of ankle fractures that usually occur in a relative young and active population [1 –5]. Given the association of regaining the length and alignment of the fibula and maintaining the stability of the lateral malleolus with the best possible outcomes, surgical treatment with open reduction and internal fixation is used as a standard practice in displaced and unstable lateral malle olar fractures [4–7]. Clinical and imaging effects of corticosteroids and platelet-rich plasma for the treatment of chronic plantar fasciitis: A comparative non randomized prospective study
Chronic plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain, affecting people who do sports as well as inactive middle-aged individuals [1 –3]. The condition is a degenerative pathology rather than an inflammatory process [4–7], and its diagnosis is based on the typical history and the presentation of localized tenderness in the medial calcaneal tubercle. Although the condition is self-limiting, and the majority of cases spontaneou sly resolve regardless of the type of intervention received, including placebo [8], the symptomatology can be very limiting for the patient, and treatment may last for many months. (Sour...
