Comparison of arthroscopic microfracture and cell-free scaffold implantation techniques in the treatment of talar osteochondral lesions.
CONCLUSION: Both single-step arthroscopic techniques are effective and safe in the treatment of talar OCLs. The scaffold technique showed superior clinical results than the microfracture technique in short-term follow-up. Age, trauma history and gender significantly affected the treatment outcomes. The scaffold technique can be considered as a safe and good alternative particularly in the treatment of large lesions.

Biochemical markers decrease and increase disproportionally in A1 pulley tissue of type 2 diabetic trigger finger patients.
CONCLUSION: Our results revealed that tissue SA levels and tissue SH levels decreased and AOPP levels increased disproportionally in the A1 pulley tissue of diabetic patients, which may indicate the role of oxidative protein damage and extracellular matrix changes in diabetic trigger finger etiology.

The use of fourth extensor compartment artery bone flap in Kienb öck's disease.
CONCLUSION: In this study, results of the fourth ECA pedicle bone flap application were found to be effective in the treatment of avascular necrosis of the lunate bone. Further comparative and long-term follow-up studies are required including large and homogeneous patient groups.

The reliability of use of WhatsApp in type 1 and type 2 pediatric supracondylar fractures.
CONCLUSION: Using WhatsApp for consulting is a reliable method which can be used in the emergency setting for decision-making. Using WhatsApp can improve the efficacy of medical assessment and reduce waiting time in emergency admissions, although this method is not a substitution for evaluation of the images using computer-based PACS.

Botulinum toxin type A injection increases range of motion in hip, knee and ankle joint contractures of children with cerebral palsy.
CONCLUSION: Botulinum toxin type A injection increases ROM in hip, knee and ankle joint contractures in CP. Although age, gender and functional level may influence the clinical outcomes, pre-treatment level of contracture is the main determinant in improvement in ROM at post-injection.

Comparison of the impact factors of subscription access and open access orthopedics and sports medicine journals in the SCImago database.
CONCLUSION: We can predict that the mean IFs of OA journals in the field of orthopedics and sports medicine will reach the mean IFs of SA journals after several years. Choosing OA journals becomes advantageous when the desire for a higher number of citations is the most important factor.

Modified percutaneous fixation for displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures.
CONCLUSION: Modified percutaneous fixation can give good results, even when open reduction is contraindicated. Maintaining the alignment and elevating the depressed intra-articular fragment may be sufficient for good mid-term results without anatomic reduction.
