The effect of maternal obesity on the prostate of rat offspring during adulthood: a histological and immunohistochemical study
Conclusion Maternal obesity caused dramatic alterations in the prostatic structure of their adult offspring, in addition to prostatic inflammation and apoptosis. (Source: Egyptian Journal of Histology)

Effect of ischemia–reperfusion on the renal cortex of adult male albino rat and the possible protective role of l-carnitine: a histological study
Conclusion The administration of l-carnitine before renal I/R could alleviate most of the hazardous effects that usually occur in the renal cortex. (Source: Egyptian Journal of Histology)

Comparative histological study on the effect of ginger versus α-lipoic acid on the cerebellum of a male albino rat model of induced diabetes
Conclusion This work points to the antioxidant protective effect of ginger and ALA against the oxidative damage of diabetes on the cerebellum. However, ALA has a superior role when compared with ginger in protecting Purkinje cells and ameliorating reactive gliosis. (Source: Egyptian Journal of Histology)

Effect of prenatal exposure to nicotine/thiocyanate on the pituitary–adrenal axis of 1-month-old rat offspring
Conclusion The present study demonstrated that among substances found in cigarettes, prenatal nicotine administration could be responsible for degenerative changes in the pituitary and adrenal glands more than thiocyanate. (Source: Egyptian Journal of Histology)

Effect of gum arabic on the stomach of uraemic rat: a histological and immunohistochemical evaluation
Conclusion: Uraemia is confirmed to induce gastroparesis and cause inflammation and oxidation- related tissue injury as well as increase the risk for neoplasia. GA probably protects against gastroparesis-induced epithelial injury in uraemic rat stomachs through antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiapoptotic mechanisms.
