Intravoxel incoherent motion MRI for the initial characterization of non-fatty non-vascular soft tissue tumors
ConclusionThe use of IVIM parameters does not improve the characterization of NVNFSTT by comparison with conventional monoexponential ADC calculation. (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging)

Accuracy of liver ablation zone prediction in a single 2450 MHz 100 Watt generator model microwave ablation system: An in human study
ConclusionsThis 2450 MHz 100 Watt generator MWA system manufacturer provided model fairly accurately predicts ablation zone dimensions, but tends to over predict realized dimensions in this mainly hepatocellular carcinoma, and therefore cirrhotic, cohort. The TR is the most inaccurately predicted dimension and manufacturer predictions appear to be best in the 100 W setting, important aspects for interventionalists to consider during ablation planning and execution. Assessment of ventricular tachyarrhythmia in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with machine learning-based texture analysis of late gadolinium enhancement cardiac MRI
ConclusionMachine learning-based texture analysis of late gadolinium-chelate enhancement-positive areas is a promising tool for the classification of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients with and without VT. (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging)

Treatment of degenerative meniscal tear with intrameniscal injection of platelets rich plasma
ConclusionIntra-meniscal administration of PRP under ultrasound guidance directly into meniscal degenerative lesions is feasible and safe. Further randomized controlled studies are needed to definitely confirm the effectiveness of this procedure. (Source: Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging)

Positron emission tomography/computed tomography guided percutaneous biopsies of Ga-68 avid lesions using an automated robotic arm
ConclusionPET/CT-guided molecular biopsy using Ga-68 labelled radiotracers is feasible and can be performed safely and accurately with a high-diagnostic yield. It is helpful in accurately staging the disease when tracer-avid isolated distant lesion evident on imaging and highly practical in patients with previous inconclusive sampling. Sedation and analgesia in interventional radiology: Where do we stand, where are we heading and why does it matter?
Publication date: Available online 6 November 2019Source: Diagnostic and Interventional ImagingAuthor(s): F.H. Cornelis, E. Monard, M.-A. Moulin, E. Vignaud, F. Laveissiere, M. Ben Ammar, M. Nouri-Neuville, M. Barral, B. LombartAbstractThe aims of this review were to describe the rationale and the techniques of sedation in interventional radiology, and to compile the safety and efficacy results available so far in the literature. A systematic MEDLINE/PubMed literature search was performed. Preliminary results from several studies demonstrated the feasibility, the efficacy and the safety of using sedative techniques in inte...
