Psychological characteristics associated with ultra ‐marathon running: An exploratory self‐report and psychophysiological study
ConclusionsCompared with non ‐runners, ultra‐runners appear to be more resilient, more likely to engage in positive reappraisal, lower in affiliative extraversion, and less physiologically responsive to emotionally negative stimuli. Inter ‐cultural contexts: Exploring the experience of indigenous employees in mainstream Australian organisations
ConclusionThe inter ‐cultural environment of mainstream Australian workplaces may be requiring Indigenous employees to display high levels of cultural agility to achieve successful employment and retention outcomes. The implications of this study suggest that widespread government initiatives to increase Indigenous e mployment are unlikely to result in sustained increases in employment and retention unless inter‐cultural considerations are given due attention. Positive reappraisal moderates depressive symptomology among adolescent bullying victims
ConclusionThis study highlights the importance of considering subtypes of bullying ‐victimisation in future research regarding adolescent's mental health. That positive reappraisal was found to be helpful in reducing depressive symptomology among adolescent bullying victims suggests investigation of other cognitive coping strategies is warranted. The relationship between emotion dysregulation and postnatal attachment in women admitted to a mother baby unit
ConclusionsThis study provides preliminary support for continued research into maternal ED as a predictor of adverse maternal and infant outcomes postnatally. Individuals with attachment insecurity experiencing emotion regulation difficulties may be at an increased risk of developing PND and in turn experiencing adverse mother ‐infant attachment outcomes.
