Prevalence of sickle cell disease in adults with delayed diagnosis
Conclusion: The most frequent genotype was HbSS, followed by HbSC. The diagnosis of patients with hemoglobin SC occurred later in life than those with the hemoglobin SS genotype. Sociodemographic variables and delayed diagnosis warns for the need to strengthen actions in the health network, which interfere significantly in the morbidity and mortality of adults with sickle cell disease. Quality of life of people with chronic wounds
Conclusion: Clinical factors directly influenced the QoL domains, and it is necessary to use differentiated strategies in order to reduce the impact of wounds on QoL, since the factors can be attenuated or avoided by evaluating the wound and choosing the appropriate treatment. Death anxiety in palliative care: Validation of the nursing diagnosis
Conclusion: The diagnosis was validated in family caregivers of palliative patients. The clinical validation of new defining characteristics confirmed the need to review these characteristics to ensure their clinical suitability. The prevalence of the diagnosis in the study sample indicates that death anxiety is a relevant phenomenon among family caregivers of palliative patients that professionals should be particularly aware offing order to implement specific interventions to minimize this condition. Health-related quality of life and psychosocial factors after radical prostatectomy
Conclusion: It was shown that radical prostatectomy causes impairment in the quality of life of men, requiring care from health professionals to minimize the effects of the most common complications. Educational interventions and multi-professional support based on a better understanding of the physical and psychosocial implications are recommended to help improve the quality of life of men after radical prostatectomy. Follow-up of former postgraduate students of a postgraduate nursing program
Conclusion: Most of the former postgraduate students are working in federal institutions, with their work performance mostly in undergraduate and lato sensu postgraduate teaching. Most are developing research with undergraduate and lato sensu and stricto sensu former postgraduate students. Part of the undergraduate students develops assistance and management in teaching activities in research and assistance. The “ professional growth ” and “ academic training ” followed by “ personal growth ” attributes were the greatest impacts referred to by the former postgraduate students. Nursing interventions for urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction after radical prostatectomy
Conclusion: In the implementation strategies of interventions, the importance of nurses using different resources to attend to patients was observed. For urinary incontinence, the focus of interventions varied among educational, behavioral and physical.
