Best person as a reference?
I am just wondering who the best person would be to give a reference. As an Allied Health Professional I work closely with Consultant Anaesthetists. Would it be acceptable to choose one as my reference or any suggestions? (Source: New Media Medicine)

Do I stand any chance of getting into med school?
Hello I'm not sure where this thread belongs, sorry if it is in the wrong section. I haven't got the A level grades to get into med school, I don't fit the criteria to get onto a foundation programme, the only hope I have is to apply with extenuating circumstances because I was unwell mentally when taking my A levels. Please help. Is there anything I can try? (Source: New Media Medicine)

A couple of questions..
Hi guys, I've recently just taken my first step into my possible career within the organization. I'll be completing a diploma in paramedicine prior to applying, as advised by the SAS. Hopefully I should be finished and have the qualification by next year, and ideally they should be recruiting around that time too! During this time I'll probably obtain my C1 as well, but was just wondering if anyone could recommend doing anything else in the mean time? Also, I currently work nights, I'm looking at doing something a little more medically related during the day as a side-job so that I can add it to my CV for the purposes o...

what is RCSI like?
So I'm graduating high school next year and will be applying to the RCSI 6-year direct medical program. A few questions: 1. Will I completely be missing out on an undergrad-type experience? 2. For anyone who did go to RCSI straight out of high school, was it overwhelming, and if you could go back would you still go to RCSI? 3. I do know obviously that medical school is an intense and rigorous experience. Even so, from what I've heard, RCSI is the most "serious" and intense med school in Ireland, and I've heard that many students there don't enjoy themselves. How true/untrue is this? Thanks in advance :) (Sourc...
