Rural Resource Guide to Help Communities Address Substance Use Disorder and Opioid Misuse
The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced a new Rural Resource Guide to Help Communities Address Substance Use Disorder and Opioid Misuse. The intention is to provide leaders in rural communities with a place to locate Federal resources that can help them to respond to the opioid crisis. Erroneous Media Reports about Chickens and Halloween Costumes
Despite news reports to the contrary, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did not warned people against dressing chickens in Halloween costumes. However, the CDC does advise people with backyard or pet chickens to handle them carefully to keep their family and their chickens safe and healthy. National Survey of Children ’ s Health 2017 Data
In early October, the The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released the 2017 National Survey of Children’s Health data. This is a voluntary survey, carried out by HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau. The 2017 data contains information from over 21,000 households about the health status of children across the nation and their health service needs. Food Safety for Young Adults
