Namibia: 2 500 Cases of Rabies Recorded in Five Years

[Namibian] According to figures given by the minister of agriculture John Mutorwa at the launch of the National Rabies Control Strategy in Windhoek recently, about 2 595 cases of rabies were reported in the last five years, with at least 18 people dying of the disease each year.
