Medify is the best preparation, but it is also expensive. My son had the 1250 question book which he could dip into for 2-3 months before the test, just spending half an hour now and then to familiarise himself with the type of questions. Then got Medify a few weeks before the test and did a few hours a day for about a week. That worked for him.
I think that if you want to do early preparation, you can practice SJT, abstract reasoning and speed reading. Don't do enough to burn out, but I don't see how getting used to spotting AR patterns early can be bad.
