Transcarotid arterial revascularization (TCAR) has gained popularity as an alternative to carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and transfemoral carotid artery stenting (TFCAS) potentially combining the benefits of minimally invasive surgery with a lower risk of procedural stroke than TFCAS. However, the cost effectiveness of TCAR is not well understood.
