Health Partners Plans adds large hospital and big health system to its network

Jefferson Health is about to acquire full ownership of Health Partners Plan, but until a few weeks ago its flagship Thomas Jefferson University Hospital was not part of the Philadelphia managed care company's provider network. That changed with the signing of a contract last month that added all 18 Jefferson hospitals to the health insurer's network.
