Covaxin supply set to rise as new plant goes on stream

The Ankleshwar plant, constructed in 2020, has a manufacturing capacity of more than 10 million doses per month, and supplies will be available for the vaccination programme next month, the minister said. The company however did not disclose the number of doses that have been released. It had earlier announced that it plans to produce an additional 200 million doses of Covaxin at the wholly-owned unit.
