Asymptomatic staff testing for COVID-19, NHS England (updated 2nd July 2021)

Asymptomatic staff testing is a core component of our Infection Prevention and Control guidance, which all organisations have a duty to adhere to. Continued efforts are required to keep staff and patients safe from potential transmission of COVID-19 in healthcare settings, and other places where care is provided, by ensuring that all staff continue to participate in this important programme. The standard procedure (published 2 July) provides guidance on how lateral flow testing for asymptomatic testing for staff should be implemented and reported. The supporting frequently asked questions (FAQ) documents (published 2 July) provide responses to most commonly asked things by organisations and staff. The previous standard operating procedures, FAQs and testing guide should only be referred for testing kits boxed in 25s which have been provided by organisation.
