Treatment of recurrent peroneal tendon dislocation by peroneal retinaculum reattachment without fibular groove deepening

Peroneal tendon dislocation is an uncommon injury that usually occurs while playing sports [12-15]. This injury typically occurs when there is a forceful contraction of the peroneal musculature while the foot is dorsiflexed [1, 2]. The risk factors for peroneal tendon dislocation are hindfoot malalignment [16], peroneus muscle anomalies [17], and the morphologic shape of the malleolar groove.
