Planning a Proximal Femoral Varus Osteotomy in Pediatric Orthopedics

A proximal femoral osteotomy used typically to correct increased femoral anteversion and/or a valgus/varus neck-shaft angle, is one of the most commonly performed operations in pediatric orthopedics. Surgeons with limited experience with the procedure often find conceptualization of the technique to establish the angles of correction and the decision regarding plate angle, difficult.
