Comments on: "Sleeve Gastrectomy vs. Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass in Patients 65 Years of Age and Older: A Comparison of Short-term Outcomes"

I read with interest the manuscript entitled: Sleeve Gastrectomy vs. Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass in Patients 65 Years of Age and Older: A Comparison of Short-term Outcomes, in which 2,486 patients were reviewed from a single institution, and 22.7% (n=565) were ≥65 years of age.1 From these, 43% n=244) underwent sleeve gastrectomy-SG and 57% (n=321) underwent Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass -RYGB.
