Nurses Speaking Out

The time has come for nurses to speak their minds to the public, sharing their stories and spilling their guts with forthright authenticity. Here in Santa Fe, New Mexico, that moment has arrived, and this weekend will see six courageous nurses crafting stories and sharing them on stage with an appreciative and enthralled audience.In October, I wrote a blog post about Nurses Speak, a groundbreaking opportunity for nurses to delve deep into their experiences and identities as nurses, emerging from that exploration with a story told on stage to an audience eager for those stories. Well, that weekend is here, and I am one of six nurses who are being skillfully guided by facilitators Sally Fox and Mary Rives to craft stories that we will perform at the venerable Jean Cocteau Theater (owned by none other than the beloved "Game of Thrones" author, George R.R. Martin) in downtown Santa Fe on December 8th.
