Half of the Rural Red-Zone Counties Come from 10 Southern States

Analysis finds that while the number of new COVID-19 cases in rural counties has fallen, a third of rural counties still have very high infection rates. Half of all red-zone counties are in a ten-state Southern region; includes an interactive map of new COVID-19 cases in counties across the U.S.
