Ohio works to increase hospital capacity as coronavirus surge now projected at 10,000 daily cases

Ohio's peak coronavirus surge could hit up to 10,000 new cases a day, state officials said Friday, a boost from the 6,000-8,000 daily case count projected Thursday. Those figures include presumed cases that won't likely be confirmed via testing. "I see drastic numbers on how many more cases there are (that) we aren't testing," Dr. Amy Acton, state health director, said Friday.
