Correction of Severe Hallux Valgus with Metatarsal Adductus Applying the Concepts of Minimally Invasive Surgery

We describe the application of concepts of minimally invasive techniques to correct this deformity. Proximal metatarsal osteotomy to correct the position of lesser metatarsals, followed by minimally invasive bunion surgery, shows promising results. In a short series, proximal metatarsal osteotomy showed excellent correction of the deformity. At final follow-up, all the deformed feet consolidated in correct positions.
