ConclusionsPatients with ADH on CNB can be stratified into a low oncological cohort who have a 2% risk of being upstaged to carcinoma. In the future, these select patients may be counselled and potentially offered observation as an alternative to surgery.

The Breast Imaging-Reporting and Data System (BI-RADs) introduces a systematic method for defining the findings of breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound and MRI. The ultimate product is the categorization of the imaging result, and recommendations for further or future assessment and intervention. Actually through the assignment of categories of B1 (normal) and B2 (benign), as well as B4 (suspicious) and B5 (highly suspicious), the next necessary step is almost obvious. Also in B0 (incomplete assessment), there is always a need for additional investigation by imaging.

Diagnostic mammography is routinely ordered, along with focused breast ultrasound, to evaluate breast symptoms in women over 30 years of age. However, for women 30 to 39 years old, mammography is often limited by breast density, and the probability of detecting an occult malignancy is low. We sought to evaluate whether diagnostic mammography detected any incidental malignancy in women aged 30 to 39 years presenting with focal breast symptoms.

Background: Magseed is a new alternative method of localising non-palpable breast lesions that has addressed many of the limitations of wire guided localisation. It is a nonradioactive inducible magnetic seed that can be visualised on mammography and ultrasound. The Sentimag ® probe is used for Intraoperative localisation of the seed. The aim of this study is to evaluate this new technique introduced to our department over the last two years.

Abstract Tissue mimicking materials (TMMs), typically contained within phantoms, have been used for many decades in both imaging and therapeutic applications. This review investigates the specifications that are typically being used in development of the latest TMMs. The imaging modalities that have been investigated focus around CT, mammography, SPECT, PET, MRI and ultrasound. Therapeutic applications discussed within the review include radiotherapy, thermal therapy and surgical applications. A number of modalities were not reviewed including optical spectroscopy, optical imaging and planar x-rays. The emergence ...

ConclusionThe degree of BPE on CEUS appeared related to age, menstruating or menopausal, and atrophy of breast tissue. BPE on CEUS was the same between those with a malignant tumor and those with a benign tumor in each menstrual status.

"The unusual suspects"-Mammographic, sonographic, and histopathologic appearance of atypical breast masses. Clin Imaging. 2020 Oct;66:111-120 Authors: Naeem M, Zulfiqar M, Ballard DH, Billadello L, Cao G, Winter A, Lowdermilk M Abstract Breast malignancy is the second most common cause of cancer death in women. However, less common breast masses can mimic carcinoma and can pose diagnostic challenges. This case-based review describes a spectrum of rare breast neoplastic and non-neoplastic masses ranging from malignant to benign entities. Malignant masses in this review include adenoid cystic ...
