Walgreens execs knew of employee complaints over prescription errors, report says

Walgreens executive knew of complaints from pharmacy employees that high stress levels on the job had led to some errors in filling prescriptions, but removed the findings from a presentation, according to The New York Times.

Walgreens employees late last year told consultants for the drug store chain that stress and “unreasonable” expectations had led them to make mistakes and to ignore some safety procedures, the report said.
