What a Shame About Me…

Actually, today has been a fantastic day.  No stupid phobias or weird ideations. I was just listening to Steely Dan when that song played. It prompted me to write. I’ve felt about as normal as your average Joe can feel mentally and physically. I felt liberated to a degree. “Let’s take your cane tonight,” I told my mother as we made our way to my parent’s garage. “We'll put your walker in the trunk in case you need it.” She has been walking with a walker for months now. What a cumbersome little contraption. Well, mom made it to El Rio Grande and back with no problems using her cane. “Even I didn’t know I could do that,” my mother said as we were driving home. She was very pleased with herself. I was very pleased as well. Well, what did you eat? Mrs. Sandra had chilies relleños which is beef and rice stuffed into fire roasted poblano peppers. Mom had the El Rio Grande combination shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas which she really enjoyed.  I got the enchiladas supreme and it truly was supreme. The plate was arranged by enchiladas with cheese, enchiladas with beef, and enchiladas with chicken. I also had a mound of sour cream and guacamole to be had.
