Surveillance of surgical site infections in NHS hospitals in England: April 2018 to March 2019

Amongst other points, this report found ten year trends in surgical site infection (SSI) risk for hip replacement and CABG has decreased, but SSI rates from spinal surgery has increased. National benchmarks for inpatient and readmission-detected SSI have remain relatively stable.
