Surgical Wound Management in Paramalleolar Bypass Using Artificial Dermis With/Without Relief Incision

Introduction: Paramalleolar bypass is one of the most effective treatment for critical limb threatening ischemia. In this bypass surgery, several skin incisions are made around the ankle where the skin is hard to extend; skin incision on the dorsum of forefoot for exposure of dorsalis pedis artery or skin incision posterior to the medial malleolus for exposure of posterior tibial artery, and skin incision for saphenous vein harvest from inside of the calf to the forefoot via the anterior to the medial malleolus.
