The 95% of lymphangioma located in the head, neck and axilla. Colonic lymphangioma is even rare and represented in less than 1% of all lymphatic malformations. Therefore, it is difficult for preoperative diagnosis and histological examination might be necessary for conclusive diagnosis. Even the symptoms might be relieved by conservative treatment, but complete surgical resection might be a good choice for colonic lymphangioma accord...

In this study, we investigated the effects of these granules on myocardial fibrosis in a rat model of myocardial infarction in vivo. Methods: Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: the sham operation group, the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) group, the Luhong granule group, and the vancomycin group, with a sample size (n) of 10 rats in each group. The AMI model was established in all rats by ligation of the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery (the sham operation group did not undergo ligation). Luhong granules (0.5 ml·kg-1·d-1), vancomycin (0.075 g·ml-1...

Conclusions: The ameliorative effects of PLP on AD were predicted to be associated with regulating neural cell apoptosis, inflammatory response, and neurotrophy via various pathways such as PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, and neurotrophin signaling pathway. This study aimed to assess the effect of Carica papaya extract application toward incised wound healing process in mice (Mus musculus) clinically and histologically. This experimental laboratory study was performed using 24 mice weighing between 30 and 40 grams and 12 and 14 weeks of age as experimental animals. Each group was incised along 5 mm at the labial gingiva under both of mandible anterior teeth with a depth reaching alveolar bone. Papaya extract was applied topically in the morning and evening for 14 days. The clinical result was obtained by assessing the length of wound closure measured every day for 14 d...

Authors: Yang W, Hao Y, Hou W, Fang X, Fang P, Jiang T, Ma C, Zhang Q Abstract Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a serious and complicated disease that threatens human health because its pathogenesis is unclear, and the outcome of the current therapies has been less than satisfactory. A national famous doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, Qian Ying, created the Jieduan-Niwan Formula (JDNW), based on his long-term clinical experience. However, despite the good clinical outcome, the biological mechanism by which it works is unknown. In the current study, we established an ACLF rat model by administering hum...

In this study, we reported the in vitro schistosomicidal activity of the R. graveolens extract (Rg) and its active fraction (Rg-FAE). Also, the characterization of Rg-FAE by UPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS analysis and its in vitro antileishmanial activity against Leishmania braziliensis were also performed. In vitro schistosomicidal assays were assessed against adult worms of S. mansoni, while cell viability against peritoneal macrophages was measured by MTT assay. Rg (100 μg/mL) exhibited noticeable schistosomicidal activity, causing 100% mortality and decreasing motor activity of all adult male and female schistosomes, but w...

Authors: Li J, Lv L, Zhang J, Xu L, Zeng E, Zhang Z, Wang F, Tang X Abstract A combination of peppermint oil and caraway oil (POCO) with its unique properties has been shown clinical benefits for FD. However, the potent statistical data to confirm its effects are lacking. This meta-analysis thus aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of POCO compared with placebo in treating patients with FD. We searched CENTRAL, PubMed, EMBASE (Ovid), Web of Science, Google Scholar, China National Knowledge Infrastructure database, Wanfang, and VIP databases for randomized clinical trials (RCTs) up to June 2019. Dichotomous d...

In this study, we investigated the effect of the roots of Cnidium officinale Makino (CoM) on endometrial receptivity in both in vitro and in vivo model of embryo implantation. We found that CoM enhanced the adhesion of JAr cells to Ishikawa cells by stimulating expression of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and integrins. In addition, blocking of LIFR using hLA or neutralization of integrins αV, β3, and β5 using antibodies significantly reduced the enhanced adhesion between JAr cell and CoM-treated Ishikawa cells, indicating that LIF and integrin play an important role in trophoblast-endometrium adhesion fo...
