CONCLUSION: Although MRIyT=2N0/TRG1-2 cannot predict all cases of a complete pathologic response, it can effectively predict a low rate of lymph node involvement and a better prognosis in patients who undergo total mesorectal excision. PMID: 31687781 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ConclusionThe performance of colonoscopy in young patients with benign anal diseases and hematochezia resulted in a high rate of detection of neoplastic lesions. The method might be considered as a valid strategy of investigation in this frequent clinical situation.
ConclusionBy analyzing additional morphological changes in contrast-enhanced CT imaging, the specificity of focal colonic18F-FDG uptake for precancerous and cancerous lesions can be increased but leads to a considerate loss of sensitivity. Therefore, every focal colonic uptake should be followed up by colonoscopy.
CONCLUSION: This study shows that the faecal immunochemical test is a promising technology that detected colorectal cancer in all high- or low-risk symptomatic patients in our cohort at a threshold of detectable faecal haemoglobin. Data from adequately powered cohort studies will elucidate the true diagnostic accuracy of the test and the rate and patterns of undetected colorectal cancer.
