Day of the Meter Reader…

There is only one thing Maggie hates more than cats and that is the meter reader. How dare some stranger invade her backyard – her sacred ground!  Maggie was bold today and sat at the back of the yard as the meter reader checked my meters.  She’s got a big dog bark in a little dog package. It will take about another hour for Maggie to calm down.  She is still outside barking and the meter reader left 30 minutes ago. She definitely gets her knickers in a twist over this monthly occurrence. The Appointed One… Mom is having another very lucid day.  It makes me happy. I worry about her. I don’t want my momma doped up on pills all the time.  She’s getting me up appointments today in her true secretary fashion.  I’ve got an appointment to see the dermatologist for a persistent and embarrassing flaky scalp and a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned. I love the taste of that minty tooth polish they use with the polisher apparatus. It reminds me of Wrigley’s spearmint chewing gum. Letters From George… George graced me with another long winded letter today.  He says he hates his cellmate to the point of madness. “He is the dumbest son of a bitch I have ever seen” were Georges exact words on the subject. George did say he enjoys working in the prison cantina', though. He said he gets special privileges as far as food is concerned. That must make prison much more bearable.
