Health insurance premiums to rise modestly next year in Oregon

Premiums are set to rise a modest 2.3 percent next year for people who buy their own health insurance, under preliminary decisions announced Wednesday by the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation. The hike is slightly lower than the average 3.3 percent increase insurers requested and much lower than the early days of the Affordable Care Act, despite some destabilizing changes at the federal level.
