Endoscopic Gastroplasty Letter: ASGE/ABE

We read with interest the article by Cohen et  al. [1] on a systematic review on endoscopic gastroplasty (EG) for the treatment of obesity. The authors attempted to summarize and synthesize the current data on this relatively novel endoscopic bariatric procedure, which is being performed increasingly worldwide. While the topic is of interest t o a broad audience, there are several concerns regarding the methodology and accuracy of the data.
