Cerner's EHR contract with VA grows by $140M

Cerner Corp. has been awarded a $140 million additional task order by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on top of its $10 billion,10-year contract to update the agency's legacy electronic health record system. Task Order No. 8 is a four-year contract that calls for "additional interface support" for the EHR, according to FedHealthIT. The addition has not been publicly announced.
