The Deal with Snowmageddon…

Well, it was a no snow event for us. I looked like the kid to the left. All we got was a lousy brisk and bitterly, biting cold north wind. It was cold enough this morning that my CD player in my car wouldn’t work. No worries. It will work after it sits and basks in the sun for awhile -- just one of those idiosyncrasies when owning a decade old car. I am currently listening to a lot of Sarah McLachlan in the car. Ah, bless her soul.  She sure can sing! Mom’s best friend, Mrs. Sandra, was sick with the flu last night so we didn’t have our usual Mexican Thursday meal.  I won’t lie and say I wasn't very disappointed. It was time to put plan B into action. “Let’s get some takeout Chinese,” I told my mother very enthusiastically over the phone. It was a shot in the dark, but Mom thought it was a great idea.  30 minutes later mom and I were siting at the kitchen scarfing down egg rolls and some Moo Goo Gai Pan for mom and General Tao’s chicken for me. .Chinese restaurants give you such incredibly huge portion sizes, though.  I only got halfway through my entrée and a heaping portion of fried rice and I was stuffed. The Show Must Go On… I bought some thermal underwear that was on sale at the dollar store yesterday.  It was perfect timing as it was so cold this morning and I still had to take Maggie on her walk. I put Maggie’s sweater on, and then her harness.  Away we went for some good old fashioned canine bliss and fun....
