Progress Towards a Person-Centered Model of Care for Radiation Therapy

Our institution is developing a workflow to partner patients with a primary Radiation Therapist (RT) who performs all key procedures (e.g. simulation, planning, delivery, etc) over their radiotherapy course. Proof-of-concept was previously demonstrated in a small clinical pilot, suggesting improved continuity of care and patient satisfaction. The aim of this project was to determine clinical feasibility and stakeholder satisfaction in expanding this person-centered model of care over several treatment units and disease sites.
