The purpose of this article is to highlight the differences among sponsorship, mentoring, and coaching and to describe the value of sponsorship, challenges of implementation, and specific actions to support sponsorship in academic radiology. Sponsorship can be an effective strategy to smash radiology’s glass ceiling and promote diversity.
