Coppertone acquired for $550 million

Germany company Beiersdorf has announced plans to purchase U.S. sun care brand Coppertone from Bayer for $550 million pending approval by merger authorities, Bloomberg reported. Beiersdorf’s lineup of skin care brands includes Nivea, Eucerin and Aquaphor, with sun care products marketed under the Nivea Sun and Eucerin names.
