HHS: Establishment of the Interdepartmental Substance Use Disorders Coordinating Committee and Solicitation of Nominations for Committee Members

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is establishing an Interdepartmental Substance Use Disorders Coordinating Committee to identify areas for improved coordination across Federal agencies and with state and local efforts on substance abuse, as directed by the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities Act. HHS is seeking nominations for the committee, including at least one member with research or clinical mental health experience working with medically underserved populations. Nominations are due June 14, 2019.
