Medicaid insurer to dump CVS for Express Scripts in 2020
CareSource, an Ohio-based Medicaid managed care provider, announced Tuesday that it has fired CVS Caremark as its pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and replaced the organization with Express Scripts, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
Details on the contract were not disclosed. CareSource had used CVS as its PBM for more than a decade.
