Laparoscopic entry technique using a Veress needle insertion with and without concomitant CO2 insufflation, a Randomized Controlled Trial

ConclusionVeress entry with concomitant CO2 insufflation was associated with higher rate of successful entry during the first attempt of Veress needle insertion. The total time required for insufflation as well as rates of complications between the two techniques were similar.
